POSITION TITLE: IV Technician
STATUS: Non-Exempt
$30-40 hourly based on experience, including generous tips and commissions

Position Description
This role is responsible for administering the application of intravenous vitamins as well as participating in clinic marketing and community engagement.
This role requires an enthusiasm for the tenets of Functional Medicine, a sincere desire to learn, a wish to help others improve their wellbeing, and a commitment to excellence. Without these qualities you will not be successful in this position.
Essential Functions
• Administer IVs and run fluid therapy for the intravenous process.
• Document interactions and communication with clients regarding therapy services, assessment, and responses/reactions to treatment.
• Demonstrate compliance regarding professional standards, regulations, policies and procedures and accreditation standards.
• Assess the client’s physical health including vital signs, physical assessment, mental status, etc.
• Identify contradictions to intravenous therapy.
• Complete training for nutrition infusion therapies.
• Assist in developing new business.
• Participate in community outreach and events to promote business growth.
• All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certification
Credentialed as either an RN (Registered Nurse), Paramedic, ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing), or LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) with license current and up to date
Required Knowledge
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Electronic Medical Records and Anatomy, Medical Terminology and Medical Practice Functions
Experience Required
2 years minimum of Vascular Access or Infusion

Strong venous access skills with the ability to access peripheral veins, client service, patient confidentiality, stress management, multi-tasking, self-motivation, self-management, problem-solving, time management, independent judgment, resilience, perseverance, organization, client care, flexibility, dependability and reliability, collaboration and teamwork, ability to meet all performance standards of the position and continually learn in the position
Physical Requirements
• Able to speak effectively and communicate clearly.
• Able to hear average conversations.
• Able to type continuously throughout the day.
• Able to type continuously throughout the day and use hands to maneuver a mouse.
• Able to perform tasks requiring close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus with 20/20 vision (with or without the assistance of eyeglasses/contacts).
• Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time.
Working Conditions
This position will work eight (8) to ten (10) hour shifts Monday-Friday and occasional weekends will be required. General clinic environment with climate control. Adequate lighting. Wonderful workplace where you make a difference in people's lives daily.
